The Big Chop!

So I am taking the plunge and on 2/15/2010 I am chopping off my overly processed, heat damaged and all around chemically processed hair (yikes). Im not gonna go too short because I feel that if I cut it off in phases it'll be less traumatic...here are a couple of the styles Im looking at.

OPI Nail Polish

Not such a DIY Post but I just had to say that OPI Nail Polish is really amazing!! I am admittedly too cheap to buy $10 nail polish but have wanted to try it for a while....well I got it as a Christmas gift and this polish is the best! No chipping, no fading, it doesnt even really need a top coat! So if your a bargainista like me I say take the plunge on this one because it's well worth it!

What I've Been Up To

So even though I havent been hardcore DIY ing, I have been up to some other things...These are the Thank You cards that I made for my sisters wedding last year.....are they Fab or what!?!?








I also made this invite for a Bachelorette Party that's coming up....Fun, Sassy and Sexy is the perfect combo for a bach party invite!

My Second Comeback

So I have decided to come out from hiding. I am back and I plan to stay on this blogging thing....Although my DIYing has taken a hiatus I plan to still post ideas, thoughts and a plethera of other things....so in addition to a DIY blog this will be my random thoughts....enjoy!

GUESS WHO'S BACK!

Ok, I know I'm terrible and I kinda abandoned this blog (LOL) But Im back!! We are moving in T minus 6 days to a FABULOUS new apt and I am inspired all over again!! I finally convinced my packrat of a husband to get rid of the "twin bed couch" and we bought a new sofa...we also got a new armoire and I will be DIY ing the heck out of some of the things we already have...stay tuned because this DIY Chick is back and on a freakin roll!!! And just because Im so happy, here's a picture of our "real" couch it's cocoa brown instead of the ivory pictured.

Brief Hiatus

I recently started a new job and I am getting used to the hours....so I am on a brief hiatus until next weekend....Ciao Bellas!

TRYING TO SAVE SPACE?

If you're like me then you're struggling for any way possible to save space. Well our ironing board has been leaning against the wall for MONTHS and I finally got sick of seeing it....well my solution was to take some $1.88 over the door hooks from walmart and hang the iron on the back of our bdrm door...voila! No more ironing board leaning on the wall!

(Maybe I should do something about that door, it's not lookin too hot, lol)

SOMEONE ELSE'S TRASH COULD BE YOUR TREASURE

The other night while I was driving home from dropping my husband off at the airport I drove past this little wooden chair on the side of the street. I have been looking for one like this for a while and what better price to pay than NOTHING! Needless to say I hit a u turn on 2 wheels and threw that badboy in my backseat.I cleaned it, painted it and used some left over fabric from my headboard to make a cutesy sitting chair for our bedroom.....

OH BABY!

So during a convo between some friends and I about nursery decorations for Serita's baby, I got inspired. Although I won't hear the pitter patter of little feet for a while, I figured I would put up some nurseries for you mommies out there looking for ideas.
